The Gallery Della-Piana opened its doors in 2009 with the express purpose of presenting fine art and original illustrations for Collectors and Visitors as well as School and Cultural Groups. We quickly became awarded Best Art Gallery on the North Shore, chosen by the Editors of NorthShore Magazine.
We balance the content of our exhibits between Representational, Abstract, and Non-Objective art works. Artists are selected for solo or group shows, and frequent Call-for-Entries theme shows encompass works from established and emerging talents.
We preview artwork either Digitally, informally during Gallery hours, or by appointment in Studio visits. Our Gallery steadfastly promotes and supports our artists, and hosts related events such as lectures, demonstrations, and integrated poetry readings when appropriate.
We seek to maintain a uniquely inviting and accessible atmosphere in our small and intimate gallery rooms. The Gallery also offers guidance and assistance in Art placement in home or office, as well as various systems for the Leasing of Art - short or long term.
The ARTforLEASE service at Gallery Della-Piana offers clients an Art Rental Program tailored to your home or business. Especially useful to Corporate, Hotel, Events Management, and the Hospitality fields, a short or long term agreement can provide you with workplace enhancement and effective Employee and Client morale.
You and the Gallery work together to create a changing, energetic, environment; a selection of images that specifically 'works' for your customers' interest including the careful placement and professional hanging of each piece. We continue to maintain our installations, and unobtrusively change, clean, or remount your selections according to your calendar needs.
An anticipated major event? A special board meeting location? A need to inject a strong cultural image? Or the 'right' images to create a serene, even soothing, atmosphere? Art with certain colors, themes, even certain proportions, can affect energy, confidence, work-habits, and happiness. Gallery rental fees vary with length of lease, installation needs, and of course, number of artworks selected. Some rentals have also led to a lease-deductible purchase agreement.
A RISD graduate in the 1960's, Elissa (Scott) Della-Piana's career in the arts spans Exhibition Design, Theater, Illustration, and Fine Art. With over 40 years of teaching art ( Illustration, Graphics, Fashion, History, Drawing) in many schools and colleges, she is recently retired from Montserrat College of Art. Her own work encompasses Licenced products in Natural Science and Fashion Illustration themes, and a personal obsession with intensive observational drawing.
